North Bengal Medical College (NBMC) has been established in the year 2000 as per permission of the Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The College is situated in a beautiful location on the bank of River Jamuna, covering an area of 6.17 acres (18.17 bighas) of land in the district town of Sirajganj, Bangladesh. The campus has a special scenic beauty with lush green trees and meadows interspersed by newly constructed modern building and the old heritage buildings.

The MBBS course is approved by the Ministry of Health and family Welfare, Govt of the people’s republic of Bangladesh. North Bengal Medical College is an affiliating college under the Rajshahi Medical University. Its MBBS curriculum is adapted by the faculty of medicine of this university. This college is recognized by The Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC). The college is enlisted with World Directory of Medical Schools.

North Bengal Medical College offers 5-year medical education course leading to MBBS. One-year internship after graduation is compulsory for all graduates. NBMC produced more than 900 medical graduates who are now working as graduate and postgraduate doctors in our country and abroad. North Bengal Medical College has a tertiary care Hospital with 500 beds and delivering clinical services in all specialties of medical science. Presently, NBMC has about 320 students and 85 students are admitted during every academic session including up to a maximum of 45% foreign students. The college has adequate qualified teaching staff and modern teaching aids like computers, multimedia projector and digital sound system for effective delivery of lectures. This medical college has a fully fledged library with sufficient text, reference books and journals. More than 150 Indian and Nepalese students are currently studying at North Bengal Medical College, Sirajganj. College provides secured and well-furnished hostel facilities for their students inside the campus. College has a cafeteria, and a beautiful mosque inside the campus.
